Bourne Town Hall Trust is thankful for a £66,700 funding grant from Bourne United Charities, a charitable trust based in Bourne.

The support from Bourne United Charities will allow the construction of a lift to the first floor foyer and Courtroom space within the Grade II listed building, as well as a platform lift to the stage.
This modernisation and adaptation of the building will ensure that the Old Town Hall is welcoming, accessible and inclusive for all. It will grant access to everyone, to every part of the building.
The full accessibility of the building is a crucial theme for the whole project and will create the opportunity to fulfil the activity plan which has been drawn up to involve and embrace every sector of the local community.
Collectively, the installation of both these lifts ensures everyone in Bourne, whatever their need, can access the ground floor, first floor and the stage. It removes all physical barriers, ensuring all visitors, users, volunteers, staff and performers have equal access to the building and the facilities.

Bourne Town Hall Trust’s restoration and regeneration project is being generously funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the Trust is grateful to all National Lottery players for making this possible.
A statement from Bourne United Charities:
We are proud to be able to support Bourne Town Hall Trust in the next phase of their journey to becoming a Cultural Venue for the town. Bourne is lucky to have such committed groups of people who give their time for free to benefit our community. Their plans to transform the building and host quality events will have a lasting impact in enriching the cultural offering available to the people of Bourne. Congratulations to the team!
