On countdown to November

If you were able to join us last weekend for our Heritage Open Days event, we hope that you heard our news in person; if not, let me tell you all about it.

In mid-August, we successfully submitted our bid to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for the circa £3.3 million that we need to complete our restoration and refurbishment project!

This was no mean feat, our trustees worked many long hours, alongside external consultants who are experts in their field, to produce 123 documents making up the full application.

The timeline from here is that we expect to hear the result of the application in November 2024. Make or break time!

In addition to all of that money, we need to match fund around £470,000. We hope to raise this money through a combination of national grants, local funds, business sponsorship and penny-by-penny fundraising.

In the meantime, while we wait for the news, we are busying ourselves with some fundraising events for the charity so keep an eye out for them being advertised, your ongoing support is always appreciated.
