We have teamed up with Bourne Fire Brigade to bring you a Fire Heritage Family Fun Day on 29th June.
The day will be another pilot activity as part of our project supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
We’ll have fun activities to keep the whole family amused, while also providing the chance to learn more about the Fire Service, which was based in the building from 1890 through to 1946.
You’ll be able to talk to some real life firefighters too, who will be there with the present day fire engine.
In addition, if you have a story about someone who was part of the fire service when it was based at the Old Town Hall, maybe a family member, we would love to hear your stories. Come along on the day and share your story with one of the volunteers or contact us.
Everyone is welcome, entrance is free and the Shambles cafe will be open.
