Local contractor Probus Construction moves in as the next phase of our historic town hall’s transformation begins.

Probus Construction today took management of the Old Town Hall building and site to begin the restoration and transformation work which will run through to Spring 2027.

We're happy to have such a local company looking after the building, continuing its history of being looked after by and being at the centre of the local community.

Within our project funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, we're planning some behind the scenes tours once work is underway so keep any eye out on our website for those. We're also planning to work with Probus Construction and local schools to engage young people in the work taking place in this heritage building.
